Fern regularly provides information and statistics regarding water related incidents for use within this site.

She is an active member of The Drowning Coalition of Central Arizona.

Mesa provides a monthly Water Incidents report detailing any incidents within Mesa.  Rob Antoniak previously a Fire Community Safety Specialist. Rob is an active member of The Drowning Coalition of Central Phoenix, as well as one of the members of the Board of Directors.

 John Harrington President Mr. Harrington is the founder and President of the Drowning Coalition and the President of the Paradise Vally Hospital. The Drowning Coalition sponsors the annual April Pool's Day Launch and helps many of the local fire departments, swim clubs and city agencies organize and publicize April Pool's Day Events within each of their respective cities. The Drowning Coalition is always working behind the scenes improving public awareness and promoting water safety.
 Chastity Diede Marketing Coordinator The YMCAs are responsible for training more people to swim that any other organization in the world.  Dave Munsey Television Personality, Weather Anchor. Dave Munsey has been involved with drowning prevention for over 20 years. Dave utilizes his position as a respected and recognized television personality to continually remind his viewers to "Watch kids around water". He personally attends and participates in many of the water safety events throughout the valley.
 Druann Letter Founder Druann began Water Watchers after the loss of her son Weston who drown on May 31, 1998. Water Watchers' goals are to educate and promote water safety awareness in honor of the memory of Weston.
Since 1996, The Phoenix Newspapers have provided authorization for the Children's Safety Zone to reprint articles pertaining to children's safety issues. As you look through the stories, you will see the same type of incident occurring time and again. Being able to reprint these stories enable viewers a peak into the history of drownings.
 Liz Hembree & Sherrie Verges Health Educators Liz & Sherrie have provided information on events and programs sponsored and conducted by Scottsdale Healthcare. These ladies organize close to 100 training classed each year. Scottsdale Healthcare Calendar.
 Tiffany Isaacson Water Safety Coordinator Phoenix Children's Hospital coordinates the Valley of the Sun's premier water safety event. Water Safety Day is organized by Water Watchers at Phoenix Children's Hospital, and is takes place at a different school each year. More than 1200 first graders come together at the event to learn critical drowning prevention lessons.
 Linda Nolin Manager, Marrow Donor Program Linda provides information regard upcoming Marrow Donor Drives or other events that are publicized in the Children's Safety Zone, such as Keelin DePas's case.
Alison Cooper Public Information Officer Alison supplies information and statistics for use within the Children's Safety Zone. She is a 13 year veteran in our fight against drowning. Rural/Metro is available for public speaking and training on issues from CPR to fire safety. www.rmfire.com |
