Tragedy strikes in a Tempe backyard. A five-year-old boy drowned in the murky waters of a backyard pool near Hardy and Baseline Thursday.
Kenan Cerimagic’s family lost track of him in the home. They called police after they were unable to find the boy. When officers arrived they found Kenan floating in the cloudy water.
Emergency workers attempted CPR and rushed the boy to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Apparently the boy’s father had removed a rusty pool fence a couple of days ago and had not yet replaced it.
