Two drownings and one near drowning and that's just the statistics for the past weekend.

Typically the drowning education season begins in April, but experts say they need to move that date up, since Valley temperatures are so unpredictable.

In one case in Mesa, a one year old girl drowned in the family pool.

The same thing happened in Surprise with a 4-year-old autistic boy.

Luckily, a 17-month old boy survived after he walked away from his mom at Kiwanis Park in Tempe. That mother, Sarah Duenas is thankful to a stranger who performed CPR on her son. Sarah also warns other parents: keep an eye on your kids.

Phoenix firefighters are doing the same urging parents to install pool fences and to put plenty of barriers between their children and the pool.

Another tip: learn CPR it could be the difference and most of all, always keep an eye on your kids.

Last year six children drowned in Phoenix alone, ten in Maricopa County.

Authorities are hoping those numbers go down this year.
